A collector’s life is measured not in years, but in works. Works purchased, desired, or simply ones that have personal significance, that mark important moments. Collector Emilio Bordoli’s biography is based on this concept, and the result is an adventurous book that encompasses hundreds of exhibitions, flights, friends, works owned or relinquished, fairs all over the world, and a wide variety of musings, as well as a survival manual for anyone who wants to approach the irresistible world of art.
X. Anna e Giorgio Fasol. Una vita da collezionisti

The book is dedicated to the collectors Giorgio and Anna Fasol, husband and wife, who discovered and supported young artists (purchasing the first works of the greatest names in contemporary art), and advised and guided new collectors in a continuous dialog with gallerists, critics, and curators.
Through a reconstruction of their long career, the book describes the most important aspects of collecting, especially the less-known ones that distinguish a true collector from the merely curious, greedy, or business-oriented buyer now so common in the art world. For the Fasols, passion and creativity are the ingredients needed to grasp the meaning of art and to launch young people on paths to expand their awareness.
