Arte Fiera and Fondazione Furla have renewed their partnership for the live performance program curated by Bruna Roccasalva, the Fondazione’s Artistic Director.

The featured artist for the new edition was Daniela Ortiz, invited by Fondazione Furla to create a new work for Arte Fiera.
Daniela Ortiz, a Peruvian artist, has always investigated the complex systems of political, economic, and cultural power that rule the world, and specifically the institutional mechanisms that exercise violence on populations in the Global South. With linguistic experimentation that embraces a wide variety of expressive means – including video, photography, painting, and performance – Ortiz creates visual narratives that scrutinize the concepts of race, nationality, and social class, revealing the discriminatory ideology hidden in colonial and capitalist power structures.
For the 2024 edition of Arte Fiera, Ortiz presented Tiro al Blanco, an ambitious installation that was activated by a participatory performance. Tiro al Blanco derives from the need to focus on the dynamics that govern multiple forms (both historical and current) of exploitation, marginalization, and imperialism, and to contemplate one of today’s most urgent issues: the war industry.
